Graduating in December

I am graduating in December of 2008 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Most people say that it goes by really fast but not me. Thinking about what you have to do tomorrow, working on what is due today, and not forgetting yesterday all seem to make time go by slow in the long run. In the short run, vacations, family, friends, and the television make time go by fast. Why can't leisure time go by slow and work go by fast? The answer is we spend much more time working than we do on these things. Think of it this way. Say you reverse the time you spend at work with the time you spend doing leisure activities. You may want to spend 40 hours a week out on the beach for 52 weeks out of the year. If you decided to get a job and work for one of those weeks, time will go by fast that week and slow the other 51. Throughout our educational pursuits we must sacrifice our leisure time. The question is how much leisure time are you willing to sacrifice? Ive spent 5 years working towards my Bachelor's Degree and will graduate soon. I may have wanted to spend these last 5 years at a resort but I would not have obtained a degree. So looking back, I'm excited I decided to get a degree and not to take a 5 year vacation. And looking into the future, history shows that it may still be time for us to let go of the travel brochures and pick up a pencil and piece of paper.
